Help For A Forgetful Groom!

Posted on May 11th, 2008 | No Comments »

My brother is getting married next month and I am his best man. I am really looking forward to the wedding as he is my little brother and well … he is very special to me. None-the-less, I am feeling the pressure that I need to find a wife soon. I mean, one of my little brothers are getting married before me. I am the eldest … shouldn’t I be married first? lol

As I was sitting here thinking about weddings I was reminded of a few weddings that I have attended. One wedding in which went without power. Literally, the power went off during the weather do to an accident down the road. It was rather funny and then well there was my best friends wedding in which she had everyone crying as she stopped the wedding and told her step dad that she was going to exchange his last name for her middle name because he played such a huge role in her life and wanted to carry his name throughout life as well. Really touching moment.

Anyways … when you surf the web for things you always end up finding a site that charges for something. It’s just going to happen. Well today I stumbled upon “1st Class”. First class is an invitation site that will allow you create online invitations. I thought, well, since I am here I should look around a bit. I started to look around and found out some really great things about this individual site.

First of all there are hundreds of pages of invitations. Just for wedding invitations there are 30 pages of different designs. Some of which are really sweet. I personally am very conservative when it comes to this sort of stuff and found that if it was my wedding I would probably choose the Silver Filigree Soft White Wedding Invitation.

Wedding Invitations

This website is great for creating you invites. Most people get the invites in person at stores in their city. I haven’t heard of anyone getting their invites online before but this website makes it so easy. I mean, you get to customize it all from the ink color, text, envelope colors and styles, etc. Plus they have a magnifier on the site for you to see your invitation up close and in detail. This is something no other wedding invitation site has. Really great tool!

Also, this site has a 2-4 day turn around time. So, let’s say you find the love of your life and your wedding is next month but you (the groom) forgot to order the invites. Quickly go online and order them and they will be at your door in four days for your to mail out. Quick, Fast and Easy!! Love how they have brought web technology to the invitation market. VistaPrint doesn’t even offer this service!! Check them out by visiting 1st-Class-Wedding-Invitations.com

Ad Spot Live - Blog Review

Posted on May 6th, 2008 | 2 Comments »

If you didn’t participate in last months contest then you missed a good time. All you had to do was comment on my site. That’s it! It was that easy!

Well the winner for the April contest was Ashu Sharma from AdSpotLive. Ashu runs a online blog dedicated to sharing blogging tips, reviewing advertisements and what to do and not to do with Googles Adsense program.

Now as always I am always blunt and to the point about everything I review online. So let me tell you a little bit about the blog both the pros and the cons of the site. The site was launched in December of 2007 but due to the lack of time available Ashu wasn’t able to spend as much time on the blog as he wanted to. In February of 2008 he started to actually be able to invest into the site. His website has some really great content including posts on creating a buzz in the blogosphere, How to Configure Outlook for Rediffmail, Eudora, and Netscape, and also a post about the differences between adsense and adbrite.

Now … here’s my critique. While it’s important to have good content on your blog it’s also important to have a good layout and logo. The logo for Ad Spot Live is well … lets just say the Bitmap Monster has attacked. This is something that I am sure that Ashu is working on recreating or finding someone to recreate it for him. Also the website template is kinda over taken with advertisments in my opinoin so don’t get blinded but still visit the site and catch up on some of the great content. Ashu has a lot to share.

Visit his site by clicking here!!

Cowboys make money too!!

Posted on May 6th, 2008 | No Comments »

I know this post might be a little off topic but so much of the web is filled with secrets on how to make mega money without working a 40 hour a week job and I want to share with you that the web isn’t the only place to make that money. Have you considered the rodeo? Serious!!

As a child growing up in the country on a farm the rodeo was a huge part of my life. Every year our family would attend the Midwest Rodeo Finals. They were great! We always got front row seats. It was a week of festivities that would really make you feel like a real cowboy.

For those of you who didn’t know I grew up in the small township of Mukwa, Wisconsin. Let’s just say … Mukwa doesn’t even have their own grocery store. The most it has is a fire department. Never-the-less people would travel from all over the world to attend the Midwest Rodeo Finals every July.

Bull RidingI always wondered why people would risk their lives on raging bulls and broncing stallions. I have seen many men and women trampled on by bulls and even some goured by bulls. And then you have those crazy rodeo clowns that are out there just to get the bull to come after them. But what was the motivation behind these daring men and women who risked their lives every night …. it was the money!!! These guys make money hundreds of thousands of dollars for 15 seconds of time. Look at the 2008 standings so far by clicking here! Crazy Cheddar (can you tell I am a Wisconsinite?).

Now I know that John Chow claims to rake in $30,000 a month via his blog and hundreds of people online are trying to do the same but some people just can’t write. PERIOD!! If you are one of those and are interested in becoming a real cowboy and making some real dough then you should join the rodeo. Serious! You all are probably laughing but I am dead serious!!

Here … let me help you … the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is coming up in December of 2008. It’s actually December 4th through the 13th and it’s in Las Vegas. You should really go and find out what it’s all about. Even if you are a successful blogger … check out the rodeo. It’s really a lot of fun! It’s a great place to let loose and enjoy yourself while watching men and women ride the wildest animals in the world.

Now there are two ways you can get National Finals Rodeo tickets.

1. Visit Team One and buy the tickets online. Now … a plug for Team One. Team One sells tickets online without any mark up!! No service charges or connection fees. Nothing like that. You pay for the ticket and you pay a small delivery charge. That’s it!!

or

2. If you are feeling lucky you might be able to win a free flight for two (2) to and from Las Vegas, a three-night hotel stay, and a pair of tickets for two (2) performances of the NFR by clicking here!

Now … I don’t know about you … and I am not trying to discourage you from entering the contest but I personally would actually buy tickets. I have not been successful in the past with website drawings. I don’t know why … I just haven’t been SO I would recommend you actually buying tickets and if you win tickets as well you can take more people with you!!! However if you are going to buy tickets direct please buy them from Team One as they are a really great team of people to work with and will get you tickets at the lowest price possible!! I am seriously thinking of attending this years event so if you do decide to go please let me know! I would love to get to meet you!!

For more information on the National Finals Rodeo please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFR

Social Network BUSTED!!!

Posted on May 6th, 2008 | 1 Comment »

Many of you remember the post I wrote about the 3GB Social Network. Well today I receive a notice that the company is paying for services with unauthorized credit cards. Companies that they are purchasing stuff from are getting rob essentially as the products and services have been given to the website owners but they haven’t received payment for them. The companies have tried contacting them but 3GB has been non-responsive. This information is coming directly from the big guys above that have done extensive work for 3G and have now lost out big time.

The only reason I am telling you all this is so that you all don’t get consumed with their website. Many of you may have joined their network after reading my post about it however they are making money off of you by your membership (ads on the network) and are not paying those they should be paying. I personally would love to see the site shut down!!

I urge you to cancel your membership to the network. Even write them about it. You can contact them by clicking here!

I have removed all links to their site from my site as I really don’t want to see them grow when they are conducting business as they are. Feel free to email me if you have any further questions or would like proof of these claims!

Has Web Design & Style Met?

Posted on May 6th, 2008 | No Comments »

According to a new blog, web design and style have officially met. Sounds crazy right? Well that’s exactly why I took some time to visit the new web design blog called “ Stylish Design“. It’s main goal is providing website visitors with information on search engine optimization, new website directories, and new softwares to use in the development of websites. Pretty much the blog is about website design in general with an emphasis on search engine optimization.

I was taken back by their slogan though “The blog where web design and style have met”. This confused me slightly as in my experience, style has pretty much taken over website design. This at least has been my thought. Maybe I am wrong, however, they do have some really great articles including: How to create a successful AdWords ad, Issues in the world of Web Designing and even an article on how to fight for more PageRank.

Check out the blog by visiting www.stylishdesign.com
